With a passion for sewing since childhood Angela has built her professional life around couture dressmaking with formal training in Fashion Technology undertaken at East Sydney Technical College in the late eighties involving patternmaking and grading, pattern construction, design and garment assembly, tailoring, couture and leatherwork. After working in the fashion industry for a short time Angela started her own business specialising in made to measure bridal, evening and formal wear. Having catered to this market for sixteen years and well over due for a change Angela now prefers to share her knowledge and love of sewing through teaching, in the past five years having been a part-time TAFE fashion teacher and currently working as a sewing teacher in the home sewing industry teaching all levels of sewing, commercial pattern adjustment and personal fit. Her teaching also extends to Australian “Stitches” magazine being a regular technical contributor and dressmaker for magazine wardrobe features as well as catwalk fashions for Simplicity patterns previewed at Australian Stitches and Craft shows.
