Kim is an experienced teacher of Ancient, Modern, Extension and Junior History. She has delivered many professional development courses for history teachers for the AIS, HTA and MAHA. In 2005, Kim was recognised with a NSW Quality Teacher Award and more recently has been awarded a Macquarie University Research Excellence Scholarship for the completion of her PhD (in Historiography and Historical Fiction). She has a number of published articles including, ‘Refashioning Elizabeth I’, Teaching History: Journal of the History Teachers’ Association of NSW Vol. 40, No. 2, June 2006, 11-13.
