Col currently holds the position of Training and Development Consultant with the Peer Support Foundation. Prior to accepting this position, he was Head of Science at Hunter Valley Grammar School in East Maitland. Col holds an M.Sc and B.Sc. from Macquarie University, a Grad. Dip. Ed. and Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment. He has 16 years experience teaching junior science and HSC Biology, Chemistry and Physics and worked as pilot marker and Senior marker in HSC Biology for 6 years. He is a coauthor of Practical Experiments in Chemistry, part of the Blake Education 'Instant Lessons' series. Col has taught in public schools in Western Sydney and private schools in Newcastle and East Maitland. His drive to address the mental health of young people drew him to his present role, however he maintains his passion for Science teaching.
